We got to catch up with one of our 2023 scholarship recipients, Kirsten Lockwood, when she surprised us by showing up at the 2024 awards night at her alma mater, Lincoln High School (Lincoln, CA). Kirsten had recently completed Heavy Equipment Training at her new job and had just finished her first day operating her own piece of equipment! It was so exciting to see her and hear about all of the great hands-on experience she has been getting since she graduated last year. It was extra special that her sponsor, Trina Decker of Landology, happened to also be there that night to present another scholarship. The two got to chat it up, and they discovered that their companies are working on some of the same jobs. What a small construction world! We are all so proud of you, Kirsten! Thanks for stopping by to give us an in-person update on your progress. It was the icing on top of a pretty great night!
